Old Supreme Court

Inspired by the useless/use less concept of Utterubbish, kwodrent presented an installation of four bound volumes in the Judge’s Chamber of Court Room 21. The book is represented as an unreadable abstract object/sculpture constructed from hexagonal net fabric or rice paper. Folding is applied as a singular and repetitive construction technique to create form and volume. The stitch points and fold lines are recorded as mathematical coordinates and equations.
